1. Overview


Another Workshop item mod reuploaded from TF2Mods.net, this time it's the Rayzar dispenser.

Some people have thought this could be a reimagined version of the scrapped repair node but this was later disproven as the original concept creator stated Rayzar wasn't meant to be a throwback to the said cut building but rather something different.

"While they both have an antenna and circular screen, the originally[sic] intention was not to remake or redo the Repair Node. Really, the idea started off as a device for tracking players’ and a radar screen and antenna fit that idea quite well (though of course, Valve could do something entirely different with the model)." - VernoGuy

Neodos/BANG! stated he doesn't want his stuff to be on this site anymore but please understand, the mod was also on TF2Mods.net but since then the website was closed down. The mod is nowhere to be available for download since then and I'm only reuploading this for archival purposes. If the original creator asks me to trash this then I'll do it ASAP.

  • Everything for me is running fine, except one thing. There is no way to visually track the dispensers ammo reserve unless you look all the way at the top. I'd like there to be some way of telling on the model itself, just to make things far easier for me and whoever else uses this mod. Thanks in advance if this actually is done.

  • There is no heal beam on red dispenser, only blue has a heal beam. "Model '(null)' doesn't have attachment 'heal_origin' to attach particle system 'dispenser_heal_red' to."

    Levels 2 and 3 are missing heal_origin, which basically means they dont have visible healing beams.

    Bug: Sometimes the original Metal/Bullet Gauge appears near the Bottom corner, Near the Root point of the model.

    FYI, the orinal creator "Monkey Bug", previously called "BANG!" already uploaded this mod on the website. BUT he trashed the mod stating "I do not wish to have my mods hosted here anymore. Intrusive ads, admins uploading skins without asking permissions from the original authors etc"
    Unless you have his permission, you should be deleting this asap.
