Hello, this is my take at making a new HD model for the Half-Life's miniturret NPC. This
model never received any proper HD update since the original release of
the game, it was about time somebody took a shot at redoing it. The model has 861 triangles, and uses one 512x512 texture.
Note: The model has a few small issues. I will fix them as soon as I can.
The model features new custom animations based on the original ones: The canon slider is animated, as well as the turret cap. The red light texture has a fullbright flag, so it basically glows in the dark.
The model is compatible with Half-Life and all it's official (and non official) mods. The glowing redlight will only work in either Sven Co-op or Xash3D engine.

Awesome job here, mate! The best miniturret model i've ever seen. So much attention to little details, like moving slide and shaking cover. Texture is nicely detailed and polycount is fairly low, that is good
Aesthetic of original miniturret is preserved - that is the best part of this skin
This turret model should be a lesson to all those wannabe recreators, dumping tons of unnecessary details and textures to their models, and they still looking bad. This one, on the other hand, have only one greatly detailed texture, with model that is basically an improvement of original Valve's work
The only thing that could use an improvement is the attachment position - muzzleflash looks a bit misplaced. Although, it's not a big mistake at all, it can quickly be fixed, especially with all those modelling programs around
An awesome model that still fits within Half-Life's maps. I love the little details like the top part wobbling and the slide moving as it shoots and on the death animation. Just need to make a big turret to go with it. :v
Now if only there was a way to make it eject shells.
