Update: V3.5 is now out! Turns out the previous version was a bit more broken than what I thought but a huge thanks to Unclever Hans for informing me of this and also providing fixes along with the addition of rifle shells.
The idea behind this was being disappointed in all the Beta MP7 mods in terms of new skins. V2 had clean and dirty skins but people complained that they couldn't see the difference (which I don't blame them for since even though the difference was there in the sheets, seeing them in game was a different story). My solution was to just get rid of them, instead I created new "Retail" and "Leak" skins along with the brand new HD skin.
Features: - HD, Retail, and leak styled skins - World model now uses barrel texture from v_smg1 - Model fixes - New Normals for HD - Sounds are now in an optional folder - Icons - Ejects Smaller rifle shells
Credits: LambdaFox (Creating and merging textures, assembling files) Kubiiik_svk (Fixing and imrpoving the models along with reuving them) Unclever Hans (Fixing broken animations, adding scaled down rifle shells, cleaned up VMTs, fixed smaller HUD icon, and fixing the script) Anonymous/Redacted (Original SMG from HD pack used as basis, author wished to be removed from list) Battlepope (Textures and normals were used as a basis) Valve (Original Creator)
Good news is that V3 will be coming out. I feel the clean/dirty issue will be fixed by removing them. Instead clean will be replaced by a Anon SMG1 styled and the dirty will be replaced by a retail styled. I'll also include a HD version and maybe the original. Also should I have the sounds in a folder like "Optional: Sounds" or leave it where it is?
-Replaces the SMG with a much more polished and refined version of the SMG2 -NPCs hold it properly. -Looks badass.
-It uses Pulse Rifle sounds, while i get they were used for the SMG2 in the Beta, it does cause some confusion when trying to tell if a NPC is using a Pulse Rifle or a SMG2 but this can easily be fixed by installing a sound mod for the Pulse Rifle or removing the sounds from this mod so it's not a big deal. -The dirty and clean variants don't look too different from each other and it's hard to tell the difference without seeing them side by side but that's not much of a big deal since it looks good either way.
It's quite a nice skin. Definitely the best SMG2 mod on GameBanana.
