    I've got a small tip for you to help you make compiles better:

    When you decompile a model and load the .SMD to MS3D (or whatever software you use) make sure you have the (Auto Smooth) tool turned off because it ruins the Smoothness of the whole model, if you use MilkShape 3D you can find this in "Groups" tab:


    Blender's Method:

    you'll have to open addons/io_scene_obj/improt.py in your Blender installation, search for me.use_auto_smooth = True (should be around line 657 currently), and replace it by me.use_auto_smooth = False (or just comment it by adding a # in front of that line).

    What you'll achieve from this? Here's a comparison between default smooth of the model and yours:

    Doesn't look that bad. The only thing are the smoothing errors on the model, check the fingers holding the RPG.
