The caped variant of the mod has been removed. The mod is now exclusively capeless.
The model's design has been significantly reworked, giving it a greater resemblance to Galacta Knight's appearance in Kirby Star Allies (while also maintaining aspects of his earlier designs.)
The wings are now directly based on their appearance in Kirby Star Allies, and have been given SWG bones. This allows them to move a bit during animations that normally lack wings.
The left arm and shield no longer have the awkward looking rigging from the mod's previous release.
The shield now gets bigger (and gains a galaxy effect) when using the Galaxia Darkness Final Smash.
The 02 and Marx recolors have been removed. Variants of Meta Knight's White and Pink colors have been included in their place.
The UI images have been redone using new renders, which look a LOT better than the previous ones.
The normal and capeless variants, along with most of their textures, have been touched--up
The model now uses the highest-quality vertex type, giving it perfect-quality normals. It also doesn't prevent shadows from appearing, nor does it cause any excess lag in 8-player Smash
5 of the color schemes from the previous release have been removed, and replaced with new ones made just for this mod (instead of copy-pasted Meta Knight recolors.)
All of the CSP's have been re-made using new renders. The pose and overall proportions in these new renders match up quite well with Meta Knight's original Smash 4 render.
Do note that while this mod is now Meteor compatible, only the capeless version can be installed with it. You'll need to install the caped version manually if you want to use it instead of the capeless version.
As of June 10th, 2018, the model has been given a pretty major overhaul, bring the mod's design more in line with Galacta Knight's appearance in Kirby Star Allies (while also maintaining a few elements of his earlier designs, along with my custom shoulderpad emblem.) Two of the new recolors added in the previous update have been reverted back to Meta Knight recolors, though the 3 that I've kept in not look a LOT better than before. This update also features new renders, which really do look a LOT better than the previous ones.
Most importantly, this new update makes the mod capeless by default, and no longer includes a caped version. The wings that appear during animations that originally had a cape have been given SWG bones, allowing them to move a bit.
The model and all 7 of the recolors are Tex-ID'd to work over any of Meta Knight's original slots. I've also included .nut files for the main 4 UI images (for all 7 colors,) a name tag, and some lesser used UI images. If you'd like to see the new renders in a higher resolution, you can check them out here.
Additionally, for reference, the skins are (in order): Normal, Smash4 White, Morpho Knight (Red), TKCD Magolor (Green), NES Meta Knight (Black), Smash4 Pink, Meta Knight (Blue), and Dark Meta Knight (Gray).
The only remaining issues with this mod are some barely noticeable rigging issues on the wings, the eyes sometimes "disappearing" for a split second when getting hit, and the possibility that using any Tex-ID fixers might break the galaxy effect on the shield when using a Final Smash. If you notice any other major issues with this mod, feel free to let me know. And make sure to provide as much information as possible (since I can't really fix a problem if I don't truly know what's causing the problem.)
To extract the files from the provided .7z archive, you'll need to use 7-zip. Additionally, installing this mod via the Meteor Skin Librbary may potentially exclude the lesser-used UI images. If you want those, you'll need to install those parts of the mod manually.
Finally, I don't do mod requests. I prefer importing models that I want to import, so please do not ask me to make any specific model imports for you.
This is hands down, the best Mod I have ever seen for Smash Wii U, or let alone any game, if Modding wasn't a thing, you could pass this of as a Smash Switch Leak because of how Legit and Real it looks to an Nintendo Made Model, I hope Morpho and Dark Meta Knight can receive the same Star Allies treatment in Smash as well
This update looks absolutely incredible, but I just can't part with the 02 and Marx colors. I don't know why you removed them, but hopefully, someone out there will remake those colors. In the meantime, I'm gonna have two different versions of Galacta Knight in my game. Haha!
This is probably my favorite smash 4 mod. The new wings look amazing, and the render is great too. What are your current plans for modding smash 5? I would love to see ports of your mods since they make up some of the highest quality mods on this website.
