Hey folks, wassup!
After 2 years of inactivity from modding, I'm finally back. This time I came up with a simple, yet cool model hackage.
The stuff that I made was the laser beam hack, CS 1.6 handrig due to the fact that the 1.5 hands looked shitty, the w_ model
and of course the render (it's my first render btw so pls don't judge harshly). Skin was made on 23 September 2015.

I plan to rerig this type of old skins anyway, either by using CS 1.6 or CS:CZ hands.
But there's nothing hard really. All you need is some basic model hacking skills, Milkshape 3D and a little bit of common sense too. Eventually you'll figure the rest of it out by yourself, just like I did.

I wasn't aware that it was Valve's set; the screenshots don't really show that for the most part, and there are a few other sets that have been known to mimic some of the stuff that Valve did with the default animations. If it's Valve's default set, then you're fine.

While I can say this looks decent for what it is, I can't say that it warrants a 10/10 for the rating like it has now at the time this post was made. There's a couple of minor bits that I feel need to be pointed out.
The first bit that needs to be pointed out is the laser's lens sprite. Like Yogensia pointed out, the red lens sprite is currently misplaced; it should be where the actual lens is located (which should be where the laser is actually coming out of) instead of roughly half way in to the laser module itself, as well as not actually visible by the player unless within the player's view (meaning that it should be re-scaled down a bit to reduce its overall size). For the world model, consider moving the lens sprite directly in front of the lens where the laser actually comes out of the emitter, and then re-scale the laser lens sprite down considerably so that it's not looking like a large flare. For the view model, you can basically repeat the aforementioned fixes for the world model.
The second bit that needs to be pointed out is the fact the laser seems a bit too solid as it is now, as well as seeming a bit longer than it should be. You may want to at least shorten the overall length of the laser (which would have to be done in a modelling program), as well adjust the transparency a bit for the textures so that it's a bit more faded.
Aside from those minor gripes, this skin seems rather decent overall. Good job.
By the way, I think you forgot to list whose animation set was used for this submission.
