Pretty much as Rafael said, I used 3Ds Max, Photoshop and dDo... In the original model the inscriptions were only like a glowing paint, but Rafael did add it into the normal, which is something I should have thought about, but didn't... So, to make a short answer - the inscription were more or less very easily created with nDo2.

As far as I know he used 3DsMax+Photshop+dDo as for the engraved details those seem to be shapes which I then engraved onto the normal with nDo2. Although I'm sure SkyppySDK is able to inform you more about how he done it!
