    > **Posted by JorisCeoen** > stuff If you read a bit further down, Swordfish was bought out by Codemasters. "Swordfish Studios was acquired by Vivendi Games in June 2005, becoming a fully owned studio of Sierra Entertainment, then acquired by Codemasters on 15 November 2008 after an agreement with Activision Blizzard." The submission is allowed guys.

Then **THQ picked up the rights to Blood on the Sand**. THQ owns the rights, not Codemasters or Swordfish, although the game essentially was developed by them. Almost all of the workers on the game have been hired by Crytek by now.

    > **Posted by squeezit** > basically, Swordfish Studio was bought out, and Codemasters owns 50 Cent: BotS now I am getting a bit lost. Apparently, Codemasters did buy the devs but THQ was the one who released the game somehow. Well, i am retracting the flag anyway because this is just way too complicated for me.
