Yeah dude, I have a new similar way to do lighting, probably it will be more successful than the lighting on this one (I hope). One thing i would suggest working on is when you paint the lighting and shading on to a texture itself, make sure the light source is coming from a single direction. Some of the details have lighting on the but the source is in different directions for a lot of the details. I have no I idea how to do the light\shadows 100% properly, but I know what you mean, TS told me that in one of his comments. Next time I will try to do the lighting process better, if I can that is.
