Erm actually hes right to an extent, its actually 90% and thats why terrorist use them as they can be taken apart completely and stored in a bag with no notice at highly secure arias. the only things that are metal are inner barrel sheith, firing pin and bullets the rest is composit ABS.
barrel can be completely un sheathed from case and looks like a small cigar holder . firing pin is a basic sharp edge design and can be attached to almost anything to be made inconpicous
you my friend are thinking of glock 28 not 19 and even though he was over exadurating he was farly close to the mark.
there is no need to flame him for bieng 5% wrong
i know as my family used to run a gun shop and i spent 3 years working in Royal armouries in leeds
"Not to mention that it's made about 95% of composite plastics & other materials that don't show up on most Metal Detectors..."
That's probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Apparantly that ENTIRE METAL SLIDE plus the BARREL must be less that 5% of the total vol. And I guess It's filled with plastic bullets and casings. Please at least go to world.guns.ru and quote that rather that talking like an idiot
yeah it can be picked up b/c it wouldn't make sense for them to make a gun for cops that cant be picked up on metal detectors because there allowed to pass threw a metal detetor with there gun because ummm... there cops
