Model : This is one hell of a monster. It is the ultimate replacement for your M249 :). This is a good concept, using a power tool as an M249 replacement. The model is big, as in GIANORMOUS. It fills up a lot of your screen. It has a powerful, chunky appearance which is good enough, since it is suppossed to be used for M249. The only drawback is it's enourmous poly-count. Since the HL engine can perform well when the overall polycount is below 50K, using this model means cutting off on other replacements.
Skin : Well since this is a power tool, I can't imagine what else can be added to the skin. The feel of the fibre could be improved perhaps, it feels too smooth. Something like miniature patterns on the yellow portions. It feels too plain. But there's not much scope of skinning here, I guess.
Anims : Nothing fancy here. The gun is drawn back on the reload and moved around a bit to give the feel that the weapon is being reloaded. The draw seems a bit too fast, considering how heavy that gun must be. The shoot anim feels realistic with the weapon shuddering a bit, indicating the delivery of massive power :).
Summary : A good replacement for your M249. PWs are not included but that's perfectly understandable, considering the massive polycount of this model, adding PeeWees would literally kill the HL engine. Sadly the replacement does not come with custom sounds so you guys will have to make-do with the default sounds, which as a matter-of-fact, will not match the animations.
