Herro This is the 4th skin of the ones lying on my HDD... thought I'd start unloading them onto you. Now this is a weapon that should be used more, honestly. So what I did for this one was completely change the wood. Used a texture I sort-of made. Also made the metal darker, and added a bit of dust and scratches, to make it look a bit more "worn". It has a normal map that's 4 times the size of the texture. (to put in the small details) Enjoy, and subscribe for more.

    If you're going with Blender, here's how you do it:

    - Decompile the model
    - Import the reference SMD into Blender (after adding and enabling the SMD I/O)
    - Change the screen layout to UV editing (it's on the info window, it'll most likely say Default, click the thing left of it)
    - Go to edit mode (press tab)
    - Select everything in the 3D window (hit 'A' a couple of time until everything is orange in the right half)
    - Select one of the blades side in the image editor (the left half)
    - Press 'G' and move it around to a nice spot.
    - Go to UVs->export UV layout
    - Export model
    - Compile

    and continue where you left off. Though the kukri's UV is really tight, so use 'S' to scale aside from move to make some space.

    The fact that most skins use mirroring makes it what's causing me to keep doing it. Also, the mirroring is only visible in world model view. In view model, you can only see it for around 0,1 seconds during a swing anim. That encouraged me to go with it even more. If you've got a suggestion for a color replacement. I'd be glad to hear it.
