This will replace the UZI with your choice of MP7 style

Pretty much ever since I got L4D, I've wanted an MP7 in there in place of the UZI, moreso after replaying HL2. 12 days ago I began searching for potential ports here on GB, and I went with this one from the Counter Strike category. Right now, there are literally a dozen different variations on the original, so you can pick whichever one you like best. I've included screenshots of each in the download to help with that (SE-FF means that it's got the Stock Extended and the Foregrip Folded, with three further subtypes from there, whether you want it with all the sights, no reflex sight, or just the flat top version), and I expect to have video links here sometime in the future.

ONE WEEK LATER Now with flashlights! After play-testing it for the last week-and-a-half, both in single player and online, it seems there's a randomly-occurring glitch where the survivor's arm will be stretched out to infinity, visible in the last screenshot. For now it's just a minor annoyance; restarting L4D or loading a new map makes it go away, but ultimately I'll need to rework it somewhere. I've gone through all the files a second time, but if anyone has ideas on how to fix this, please let me know.

FOUR MONTHS LATER After working on the Hunting Rifle Alterations I realized what I needed to do to fix the arm-stretching: It should be fixed now, both online and off, at least on every map I tested it on. Now, to make a L4D2 version...

Yeah, it's a shame really that VALVe never really got around to address that issue when they introduced .VPKs though it isn't entirely their fault, certain methods done whilst making model replacements manage to work fine even after archiving them into .VPK(this seems to be the case more or so in L4D2). For pistols and shotguns in l4d1(haven't seen hunting rifle replacements yet) refuse to work correctly at all and for the SMG, yours works rather well surprisingly(I have yet to try it unpacked, I wonder if I'll still get the problem that way).

    > Wait, that *works*? I'd given up on that idea when making this, figuring L4D1 wouldn't allow vpks to replace default-named models like that. Next time I get a few hours, I'm going to vpk all of them and re-upload a v4. The only reason I can think the flashlight isn't showing is you grabbed the models from the now-vestigial "Without Flashlight" folder...

I double checked and I pick the models from the "with flashlight" folder, only thing I think could possibly cause this is the fact that I pack the models in a vpk(not certain as to why it would do that though). The missing flashlight model is starting to bother me less since it's just a small detail that can be overlooked. Overall, the mod is just fine, apart from the reload sounds which doesn't bother me since I can just remove them of course.

I realized just now that I had downloaded the mp7 when it was version v2_5 while now it is V3 from what I saw in the archive name, most of the issues have been sorted in the latest upload(Never even noticed there was an update until now), however, the light of the flashlight is all fine, except the flashlight itself is not there for the collapsed/folded/flat top, I've only noticed this with the flat tops. Before I forget I want to note that my installation method is different, I pack the models and textures in .vpk and I just drop it in addons for easier access purposes as well as editing the pak\_dir.vpk

It sounds like you're using the Flat Top version, but which of the models is that, the one with the foregrip folded, or foregrip down? Is it the same as the one with the flashlight issue?

Elaborate, please. Did you follow *all* the instructions? Double-check that the pak01 stuff was done correctly; that should fix it. Also, let me know which of the models you were using when it happened.
