    There is no "odd lighting". He created that by using a completely flat alpha. Check the last screenshot. That's how it looks.

    This is definitely interesting. Little trivia for you guys: The Dalokohs bar originally had a bump/normal map, but Valve didn't like it and preferred it without.

    Not many items in TF2 use normal maps. Very few (ignoring the classes) use them.

    Anyways, nice texture, but as I said, there is no weird lighting like that normally folks.
