from shotguns to blunderblusses, the reload is not among us

The main shotguns are so slow; by the time you have reloaded your first shot the enemy is leaping at you.
Is there a way to make the reload speed absolutely ape sh *** fast?

If you're able to alter the gamemode / Lua files: https://maurits.tv/data/garrysmod/wiki/wiki.garrysmod.com/index1bed.html

If not, you can use (~) console.
// reload time in seconds, ignore animations
    reload_glock 0.3
    reload_357 0.2
    reload_mp5 0.2
    reload_xbow 0.3
    reload_rpg 0.5
    reload_shotgun 0.1

This does require sv_cheats 1 to be enabled.

The HL2 weapons are running off the hard-coded C++, so no.

The only weapons you'll be able to change the reload speeds on would be made in Lua, and you'd have to manually edit every single one.
