A Project for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (WiiU)
A Python project to develop a randomising tool for BotW that features the ability to mix shrines, treasure chests and enemy gear. Also looking to include events such as the number of hearts needed for the Master Sword, Blights, Terrain and more.
This is great. My dream is that this allows model and texture pack randomization someday. What I mean is, it would be cool if developers made different shrine theme packs - jungle textures for shrines, and a jungle music theme. or an old mossy brick dungeon theme pack for shrines, for example.
And then the randomizer could choose which shrines have which visual theme. Drives me nuts how all shrines in BOTW are "ancient high tech glowing stone temple" theme. I don't care about lore; I just want variety! Assuming randomizing a texture to load from a group of file options was even possible, it would be relatively easy probably to have the randomizer make a selection at runtime. Maybe.
