digit counter WTF v2

A Map Prefab for Team Fortress 2

A billboard sized counter which counts the number or times it is triggerd and desplayes it in a digital number form

This is a prefab or TF2 (but i am sure it works in other games, you just need to change the digit texture) of a billboard sized number, (in 1 2 and 3) decimals. the counter will count the number of times it is triggered. so it is currently in use in my Pacman map to count the number of ghost kills. I am very surprised there wasn’t anything similar already in the half life 2 engine but after a load of trawling I could find anything. So this prefab can hopefully be very useful to you if you are after a counter for any purpose (kills, caps, Anything. If you do use this prefab in your map then please message me as its always nice to see my work being put to good use.

    Good job! Was really easy to integrate into my map. I will give you credit of course ;) **Edit:** Is there an easy way to reset the digits?

    i just checked that, link out. you have done it basicly the same as i have, but i sued mulitple counters and a single relay, rather than the other way round, i got a feeling yours may be a bit more eficsiant, but both work under the same prisiples. nice 1 also due to exsesive amounts of collage work, im going to have to lave the tutorial for later. just so much stuff to do so little time. if you are desperate then please message me :) thanks

    Thanks, I can't wait to see it! :) (I have since figured out how to use the counters so I'm good there, though I need like 3 of them in my map so I have to get around to renaming all of the entities!) :/

    Please do release that tutorial as I'm having some difficulty figuring out what to trigger to get it to work. Also, is there a way to reset the counter to 0? I DESPERATELY need it. :S

    Very awesome prefab !! It is VERY well organized and relatively easy to manipulate/customize once you learn how they work (if you're careful and pay attention to what you're doing). It was a little time consuming (but fun) to figure out the details of how it works and customize for my desired application, but it is a complex prefab. It was also a very good learning tool for several entities and their interactions with each other. It is hands down my favorite prefab that I have encountered. I have implemented it in ctf_hoops_beta and it really added a lot to it that I was otherwise facing learning how to do it from scratch (which possibly could have taken me months) Pros: Scalable, Very well constructed and organized, Versatile, Multiple configurations, Fun to dissect & manipulate Cons : None Improvements : How about one capable of displaying Pi to the last decimal place xD Exceptional work in my opinion. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for saving me so much time !! ***** A tutorial would probably help a LOT of people learn about or better understand the use of logic & counter entities (one of the things I had no clue about before stumbling upon your prefab), although I'm sure it would probably be a fairly lengthy one. Nevertheless a great idea if you ever find the time.
