Welcome back lightswitch! (Returned after 24 hours)+118d
Welcome to the studio! And don't forget to transfer all your skins to the studio. If you don't know how...this is how you do it
This is how you change it to a studio release
Select "Source Incorporated" (I have so many beacuse I'm in so many studios :P)
Np for the rply here to teach :D
first off no need to say srry for no knowing anything :o
Second a normal/bump map adds detail to your skin by denting or bumping certain parts, see at as an orange, it has all sorts of small dents in it. If you were a modeler and have to make all those dents your model would be to "high poly" so it will just lag your game if you use it ingame.
A normal map can make these dents without actualy adding poly's it just deforms light reflection.
A ref(lection)map sets the amount of light a certain skin part has to reflect, so for metal this would be higher then for plastic cus plastic dosnt reflect that much.
I havnt done anything in a long time so idk exactly how to remove it, try to google the soure-engine wiki and check out normalmapping code there.
