Description: A bonus map for the game Portal.

About: This map is a relatively short level for the game Portal. It started life as a crazy turret attack room: the product of a bored amateur mapper. It ended up a gigantic sprawling bunch of puzzles and chambers all strung together. This particular map is the first group of these brushed up for a release on it's own. I'll be releasing the other bits of the map later on.

Please don't steal my work without asking me first. Thanks. :P

First of all, thank YOU for downloading my map and trying it out! It's already in that handy bonus map format that Portal uses, so you can just import it usign the in-game interface after you extract it from the ZIP.  My SteamID is Tajarnia.

A very special thanks to deathx163 for all the time testing, and the tons of feedback he gave, especially early on in development. Without him, this map would be vastly different.

I'd also like to thank Ben (Nebster10) for testing and just being awesome.

Last, but by no means least, I'd like to give a shout out to }SoC{Leady and }SoC{PiePersonofDOOM for doing some last minute playtesting for me. Thanks, it means a lot to me. :)

Oh, and I almost forgot. Thanks to everyone at the Valve Developer Wiki and ThinkingWithPortals for providing the resources for people to get out there and learn to design levels.

It's been a long haul. And while the final version is far from perfect, it's a monument to all the progress I've made in mapping techniques in Hammer. Unfortunately this means I've had to deal with my complete and utter disregard for the grid snap and proper texture alignment early on in development, meaning some parts had to be completely revamped. From a hollow cube, to funny turret attack chamber, all the way to a sprawling super map, this project has changed a lot over time. I never had a clue where it was going to end up. One edition even had headcrab zombies involved (no joke). The current version is about half of the original map. I'll be polishing up the second bit and releasing it soon. Have fun!

    Definitely one of the best custom Portal maps I've ever played. Not only does it work with no issues whatsoever, but it's also that perfect amount different from the original game.

    Pros: really nice ideas,and a nice amount of action for one level Cons: - Improvements: MAKE MORE PORTAL MAPS! :) Notes: This map was very awesome,i hope you make more,think im gonna sub you :D

    I know this is officially a "final" release, but I had to quickly update the map file. There were some issues with my cubemaps apparently. All the pretty specular effects should work properly now.
