A visual overhaul of the original ctf_casbah from TFC
This is a remake of Valve's classic map "Casbah" from Team Fortress Classic. I have already done a past remake of this, but my mapping skill has improved tremendously since then and I decided to give it another go. The map is still in Beta (currently v4.0). I've had lots of fun testing/playing this with my friends and I hope you do as well.

This map runs on a round-based CTF format. At the start of the round, there is a 15 second Setup time. This allows both teams to leave their respawn at the same time. Following Setup, you have 15 minutes to complete the round. Intelligence captures by either team add 8 minutes to the game clock.

- Soldiers and Demomen may jump on top of the pipes in the middle area of the map as well as BLU's base. (It is somewhat possible to do with the Scout).

BLU Industries houses some of the worlds most advanced drill technology on a mid-ocean clean-up facility. During the course of business, word of the location of these machines was revealed to the RED Corporation. RED forces soon infilitrated and took base on one side of the facility... the BLU Industries not far away..
To win a point, steal the enemy's intelligence briefcase and return it to your basement.
Captures earn time on the game clock.
Players drop the intelligence when they die. Dropped intelligence returns to its Base after 60 seconds.
1. The Intellegence just goes underwater with it's bearer if he gets into the water. There is no way to retrieve it until the timer expires and the briefcase returnes to the base.
2. A little fps problems within the "dead water" area on the edge of the map. It's especially felt when looking at the water.
3. When the BLU get out of the base having captured the enemy's intellegence the arrow shows left but it's RED respawn point to the left and actually you need to go right. That's a bit confusing.
Pros: Very well detailed and sufficiently optimized, the ocean view looks amazing, and the layout is true to the original TFC map while giving it a complete facelift.
Cons: Spawns only have one exit and the hallways coming out have a nice corner that is easy to camp.
The map, even with 24 people, seems overly large and flow seems to break down between the two bases.
Improvements: Add a second exit to the spawns, even if it means breaking with the layout of the original map.
I seem to remember casbah playing faster, but since TF2 is a much slower game you might want to consider readjusting spawn timers or some of the middle areas between the base to make it a shorter trip.
Another option for improving flow might be to make it easier for engineers on both teams to build forward bases, but then you risk having one team bunched in the entire game, but it might help to force more action.
Notes: Nice work on this port, I especially liked the water death areas.

Nah, its supposed to count up how many captures each team has at the end of time limit, and it gives the win to whoever has the most, and if they have the same amount, it goes to Sudden Death. I removed that from the description as it isn't functional at the moment, however, I'll have it in the next version. Sorry about that :]
Pros: Great Remake of an brilliant TFC map. Your design is very good. I will put this on my server.I Love casbah since my first day on TFC like congestus, badlands, openfire or crossover2.

I ran alone on this map. Good looking. I think you should add another respawn exit or another respawn for both teams. And water texture on center is not tf2 style, it's from HL2. Good job!! I want to play on it on the server :)
