Thank you for the constructive criticism Nosoul and Slik, it will really help me improve this map.

I think that the yellow texture is drastically overused and can almost look as bad as fullbright. It would be cool if you expanded on your texture usage and added a texture that looked good and also fit with the yellow texture.
I honestly don't see any yellow texture, you are probably talking about the sun shining on the concrete.
What I was trying to do is to use very few neutral textures that don't stand out and look good at the same time.

The lighting in the jail is pretty bad I must say. It is inconsistent and the light entities leave a really weird and awful looking glowing area on the floor and ceiling.
I totally agree with you, that was the first issue that I noticed when I was taking screenshots for FPSB.
The jail was the last part I did for this map and after I compiled the map, I totally forgot to put any kind of light in it.
At that moment I was pissed off that I will have to recompile it, cause it took so long to compile.
So I just popped in few light entities and started the compile.
I will definitely try to improve the jail in the next version of this map.

Switching gears, the gameplay is pretty much the same as the old 10x.
That was the purpose for this remake, improve the ramps and update the look of this map. I was not planing on changing the gameplay in any way.
I tried my best keeping my remake of 10x the same as the original and still have an updated look.
I don't think anyone will know about this without decompiling the map, but there is a 'booster' on the map that will launch you sky high. :)
Thank you for your great comment, it will help me improve this map for sure.
Wait for v2!
Pros: Hey roma, this is a pretty sweet 10x remake you have made. I really like the new theme you have done with it, you implemented it very well. Here is what I really like:
Good job removing the ugly fullbright and adding lighting that both looks good and functions well in the map. The shadows look great and the high-detail water and metal add a really nice touch to it.
I like how you took the main ideas from 10x and expanded on them. Good addition of extra areas to go to, I think it really adds more to the gameplay than the old 10x map did.
I love how you actually spent time on this map and added some decent detail. I love it. You make everything better than the old map because you expanded on more than just a bunch of rectangles and squares. The curvature you added in places was a very excellent touch and the detail you added to the spawns and weapon areas was very expertly done.
The frame rate is good and it play pretty much the same way as the old 10x which is nice. I didn't notice any laggy spots so you don't have to do any major optimization.
Overall, you did an excellent remake. I would rather play this than the old version of 10x.
Cons: Well, just a few things here.
I think you used too few textures in making this map. I know that 10x_final had a random assortment of textures that didn't go together, but I think that you used too few in this map. I think that the yellow texture is drastically overused and can almost look as bad as fullbright. It would be cool if you expanded on your texture usage and added a texture that looked good and also fit with the yellow texture. That would be a very nice addition.
The lighting in the jail is pretty bad I must say. It is inconsistent and the light entities leave a really weird and awful looking glowing area on the floor and ceiling. Consider moving the light entities so they don't give off the weird glare, or place a prop that would indicate that they are coming from a light source. Either one would work.
This isn't a major issue but I though I might address it anyways. It appears as though you don't have a lod_water_control in your map or you have the fade distance set really low. Whenever I would move around in the water at spawn, it would change all of a sudden into a cheaper water texture. You should consider adding a water_control entity or making the fade distance bigger.
When I tested the map I was getting big error messages in console. Here is what one of them looked like:
DataTable warning: (class player): Out-of-range value (-2317.271240) in SendPropFloat 'm_vecVelocity', clamping."
This was happening when I teleported into jail when I fell off one of the ramps. It looks like the players start to come close to falling off the map and it starts spewing error messages in console. (There were like 500 when I was done testing.) I wouldn't say this is a critical error because it isn't causing any problems. But it is definitely something you might want to look into fixing. My suggestion for fixing it would be to move the teleporters up so they aren't near the end of the hammer grid where I guess they are.
Switching gears, the gameplay is pretty much the same as the old 10x. Even though you added some new areas, they aren't a huge new experience and aren't that intuitive. Maybe you should add some new areas or something to the map to give it some more depth.
These are some minor things wrong that I found while playing your map. While none of them are really critical errors you need to fix, the are all somethings that you might want to look into changing/fixing. Overall you did a good job with this remake.
Expand on your texture uses to make the map more visually appealing.
Fix the small lighting bugs in jail.
Fix the water bug where it changes from expensive to cheap very quickly.
Remove the clamping error that appears in console when a player starts to fall to jail.
Consider adding some new areas that will enhance the gameplay some more.
Notes: This is a great remake you have here. You did a good job of adding a lot of good detail to the map and made this remake look a lot better than the original. Even though it has a few weak spots, it is still a very well made map. Let me know if you make any of the changes I suggested. Feel free to contact me if you have any comments or questions regarding my assessment.
Pros: Well, First off. I wanna say that you did a very good job representing the original map with this new one. The textures give it a well deserved feeling and everything looks and seems more crisp then it used to. Very well done on the remake. I feel that some remakes are nothing more than a few changes. But this is really well done and I can see you really worked out some of the kinks/problems from the old version. So all in all, It's a very well done and fun map to play on.
Cons: There were no cons I could see in the map. In the old version, There were a few bugs that no one liked. But, with this remake, It fixes those bugs and really makes the map seem perfect. If there are in fact any cons, Then they are very well hidden or dont affect the gameplay in anyway. So, really no cons for the map. Well done.
Improvements: Well, there were NO Improvements I think would have to be made to this map. all in all. It;s very well done, detailed and balanced.
Notes: First of all, I wanna say that your texture choice is very well deserving of a award for perfect textured! (If there is one..) But, yes, the textures well placed and nicely used. Overall, I found nothing wrong with this map, Well done, good textures and balanced gameplay. What else can I ask for?? Good job.
