This is an all-new concept for a type of map.
CT POINT OF VIEW
Basically, cts start in separate rooms, they can choose to use either a p228 or a usp. After 30 seconds they're teleported into a large big black room with several walls to make it difficult to find your way around. There is 5 pillars with a glowing texture that you can use almost as a 'landmark' and there is many creepy objects around with a strange silver gloss to them, both as a distraction and to creep you out. The goal is to hunt down the terrorists whom have hidden within these 30 seconds and kill them. But, these terrorists have knives, so they may sneak behind walls and use strategy to come up for an ambush.
T POINT OF VIEW
You have 30 seconds to hide from the ruthless counter-terrorists. There is a few large rooms you could hide in, 3 high up places you can climb up to to hide, random box hiding places, or you can simply hide in a corner. You better watch out though, your model will glow slightly depending on which one you choose, but luckily for you the counter-terrorists model's glow much more. You can choose either to hide from the counter-terrorists, or attempt to rebel knife vs. pistol, stealth vs. power.
PLEASE don't simply assess from screenshots. The map is poorly lit, because I have it set so that the map is only lit for the first 30 seconds so the terrorists can hide, and it screws up the lighting heavily. This map is not made to be lit up, therefore not made for looks, despite the fact I added many blood decals and whatnot. So yeah, PLEASE do not assess until you have tested the map, for although it may seem simple due to non-complex brushwork, it was actually an awful lot of trigger work to get this map to work just how I wanted it to. I have one of the zombies walking on a traintrack, but after a point he just spins extremely fast on the spot so as to catch the counter-terrorists eyes so they lose focus and start going for the ragdoll instead. I also just have a torso crawling on the spot for another distraction.
Props to Converted for giving me some assistance with this map when it came to ideas etc.
This map probably took over a week of on and off testing to get it right, so for the love of god, test it before you assess.
THIS MAP WAS INITIALLY CREATED TO BE USED WITHOUT FLASHLIGHTS, BUT YOU CAN PLAY WITH THEM IF YOU WISH.
This map is definitely more fun with more people, so I suggest trying it out with more people before saying it 'sux0rz'
Concept: great concept! I like the idea of a completely dark map! It's easy to play on. I think playing without flashlights is much better on this map than using them! Great concept overall! 10/10 for the Concept.
Creepiness: The map was very creepy! The idea of being in a dark room with terrorists hiding and waiting for you creeps the hell outa me! There's really no way to tell if someones just waiting for there chance to strike! Very Creepy! 10/10 For Creepiness.
Design: The design of the map is great! It's kinda easy to understand and you do know where your going, considering your in a dark room with terrorist hunting you down.. The actual map design was kinda sketchy in some spots. But it's still a amazing map! 9.5/10 for the map design.
Fun: This map was extremely fun to play on! everyone enjoyed it and had fun. Even the dead people had fun spectating people and anxiously waiting too see what will happen next! Considering the concept of this map, The fun of it was Extremely High! 10/10 for Fun.
Gameplay: The gameplay of the map was great. I liked how you came up with the idea of a Dark map Idea! but yeah, The map's easy to understand and once you get teleported, The pressures on to kill those terrorists! 10/10 For the gameplay!
Other:I hope this assessment gives you idea of how great this map is, For the type of map it's supposed to be! I really enjoyed the map and hope you make more like this! I may even try making a map like this!
Overall:Great Job on the map man! It's a amazing map and I love the idea of the map!
