It is the 27 July 1944 - many days since the D-Day landings - and Allied troops have become hardened veterans in these few short weeks.
The Axis forces, stiffened by four long years of fighting, have proven worthy foes.
The US Army has commenced Operation Cobra, with the intention of breaking out from the Normandy beachhead and into France.
Now, two days into the operation, elements of the US 22nd Infantry Division,
supported by the 2nd Armored Combat Group, have been tasked with retaking the village of Le Mesnil-Herman from the Axis.
The village had been liberated by the Allies only a day before but an unexpected counter-attack by the Germans had pushed them back out of the
village before they could consolidate their hold.
Intelligence now suggests that the town is defended by a ragtag group of German troops that have been pushed back by the Cobra offensive.
Nonetheless, the Allies realise that the fighting to retake Le Mesnil-Herman will be hard and bloody in the confines of this small village and against a determined enemy.
From your base on the west of the village, strike forward capturing tactically positioned strong points in two houses and the ruins of the
village church before capturing the German command post and securing the village.
Hold the village against the Allies offensive at all costs, securing the Allies foothold to ensure victory,

Nice improvement from B1, it was fun but these make it soo much more playable, Bit brighter, some more detail and an overview file this time around :P good for a map thats fairly similar looking around the courtyard, easily get turned around.
