Deathmatch style, desert daylight setting, small funmap
First (and probably final) release of cp_crashcourse, this is just a showoff of my skills to this day as a level designer. I started about a month ago, so this example map shows where I stand to this very moment.
It's not a big map, it's nothing fancy, it's just a balls to the wall funmap. Sort off like deathmatch style combined with the tight spaces and direct confrontation. I think this map serves every class very well, but mainly engineers will love this one, as the sentries are well within range of eachother. But there's also room upstairs if they like, the same goes for other classes. Gates are open for every team, so it's not restricted in any way, except for the spawnrooms.
There are small lightningissues, haven't figured that out yet, though nothing to worry about. Other than that, the map should play fine. Feedback is welcomed. I used areaportals at the spawngates, and a lot of hint and (player)clip textures. Skybox is right behind the fences, so every possible object will collide at that point. It's not a big deal imo, as the player will focus on combat. Later on, in a larger map, I'll address this issue.
Setuptimer is set at 35 seconds, so it's not too hasty nor slow, keeping in mind the engies who can setup their toys outside the spawnroom. Captime is 5 seconds, more than enough I guess. Have fun!
