Jump_hobo2 is a revolutionary skill map that introduces an eruption of brand new challenging jumps.

Jump_hobo2 is a revolutionary skill map that introduces an eruption of brand new challenging jumps. New techniques include the "pogo" and "wall hopping" which are infinite jump tactics that I have personally invented and incorporated into the map with auto-heal and auto-restock. This map also includes mid-air sticky jumps, "juggling," "ramp sliding," mid-air priming, and many other advanced techniques. This map is not recommended for beginner or intermediate players. I proudly present to you, jump_hobo2 Good Luck bob+M|M+ Special thanks to NoZ GeNoCide aka UberSaint via jump5, a very talented mapper. Thank you to the tf2maps.net community, especially Pseudo, for their aid with my troubleshooting needs, and helping me to improve my mapping knowledge. This is my third map. notes: -2hr 30min time limit on the map -Both Red and Blue team are available, but this map is intended for Blue only. -Red and Blue share the same course. Players must be aware that the goal is not to kill the opposing team, but instead to mutually or individually complete the course.

    I can't seem to load this map. I get this error: Host_Error: CVEngineServer::PrecacheModel: 'models/buildables/sapper_sentry3.mdl' overflow, too many models Is there a workaround for this issue? EDIT: found a fixed version of this map http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4781489/maps/jump_hobo2_fixed.bsp

    Pros: Very sweet design. Was a hard map for its time. Nice use of textures and flow of the map from old wooden desert to more high-tec metal style jumps. Cool map. Will always be one of the best. Cons: Emmm.... Some of the big jumps loose there scenery quality. Also you wanted me to rate this map of difficulty which was a bad idea because i wouldn't say this map is one of the hardest. But i guess it was for its time. Improvements: Keep the scenery level constant for every tiny piece of the map. If you want us to rate it on difficulty you better make super hard levels then. Notes: Nice map, best for its time and will always be one of the best.

    Pros: -This map has got to be the best skill map out there -Exceptional detail on every jump -Ambient sound fit perfectly where they are played -Many innovative new jumps, including pogoing, mid-air sticky jumping, wall pogoing, and many more -This map as a great replay value. I must've played this map at least 1000 times before I beat it and at least 1000 times after i beat it :D -The scale of difficulty progresses nicely through the map, although 8 is a bit too hard and the last jump is a bit too easy -Great ending, i love how you sculpted mini dioramas of all your jumps, and a great place for a cap. -Fun. This map is just....fun Cons: -8 is a bit too hard and the last jump is a bit too easy -I'm sure everyone knows this, but you can land on the outside of the grate on 7 Improvements: -Maybe put a clip on the outside of the grate on 7 Notes: My favorite skill map. :D

    What else is there to say other than this map is the paragon of skill maps. I mean, you say revolutionary, and it really is. Not just because you implore innovative sticky jumping techniques, but because you considered the aesthetics of the map beyond the purpose. I would say that is the greatest accomplishment here. The subtle use of dustmotes, the quite ambient sounds of water, and the whir of machines. These add a great dynamic feel to the map that no other jump map has achieved. On top of that, the end is extremely rewarding after successfully navigating the extremely difficult map. There is nothing worse than being let down by the end of a skill map, but the end of this map feels like it should - like a reward. Every map since hobo2 has been influenced by the techniques necessary to complete it, which shows how revolutionary this map is. Beyond that, it took quite a bit of energy to imagine how to expand sticky jumping to increase difficulty and challenges. Looking back over the map for faults, it is very hard to find any, and this is probably because of how much time you devote to playtesting and refining the design of your maps. I know the jumps are too hard for a little of people, and the steep curve in difficulty might be the only flaw of the map, but this is, by far, the best quality jump map. Even if you can't beat it, you should noclip through the jumps to take in the variety of styles and the variation of jumps. You've really set a high bar to continue to meet, and I can't wait to see your next map.

    Design: Really good design. I can't say something bad about this Gameplay: After practicing this a lot, i just went noclip to look and i find out that red can't cap, mayby change that? I mean, if someone doesn't know and he makes it to the end he prob will feel really bad Looks: Great visualizing, to bad it contains a sort mix of portal/half-life/tf2 style, but no textures feel overused, only problem would be it looks to real :P Difficulty: Mayby put some decals on the wall that will tell you how to do the map? Because only the pro's who already know stickie hopping etc knows how to do the map

    Pros: Well-designed, advenced and original jumps. The last part of the map is simply amazing. Notes: Too dark in some part but it's ok. I used noclip several times because of suicide bomb.
