i will get right on that what if i make the map with 2 houses and add some windows and and i will get on the lighting in the thing i forgot how do u get the skybox to show light?
p.s if i copy and paste the house in crackhouse will i get sued?
Its alright for a start. I think you do have potential but if you wanted to do crackhouse vs texture, I think you should make a version two with the actual crackhouse house. Not a remake. Then make another house the same but in textures that you used. That would make it cooler.
Well without lighting, this map really lacks. The orange textures are way to bright to be used in fullbright. You should consider adding a light_environment so there will be light coming out of the skybox.
The texture variety is poor as well, on the dev texture side, you used about two different textures which gets repetitive. Then on the other side there is only about 4-5 textures, most of a grey hue which looks boring in game. There is little detail. Add some more textures or use decals to spruce up the walls.
The layout isn't too bad but with only one real path, gameplay kinda lacks after repetitive play. Maybe add some alternative routes around the building and such. Some props would also be nice or at least some more things to hide behind.
The map has a decent layout, not truly excellent but later on could be moved into a new version that can work on lighting. The textures could use a touch up and the placements needs some more work. But a nice run and gun with friends wanting to spend the night. Once you make these changes then this map will truly be better and well listed inside the FPSB community. So just try to fix up the map and then release and let's see what will happen. Keep up the mapping.:D
