This is the first phase of my new map, pl_blackmesa
There's been a lot of changes since a1, so I'm not going to post a changelog at this time. After this release, I plan on putting up a changelog with the next releases.
The notable changes are:
I added a small stair and sign that pops out around the shortcut door to make it more accessible.
I removed a large wall on the side of the second checkpoint to make the stairwell more apparent.
I pushed back the back wall of the second checkpoint and turned the balcony over the point into a bridge.
I added a glass panel into the balcony/bridge over the second checkpoint to make it more apparent to those that might just walk past not knowing where the point is.
I added a TON of signs.
Idk if u fixed this or not but on other versions or could be this version the sound out of blue spawn is REALLY loud u cant even hear ur self think and when u cant get out of there when 2 SGs are on the ledge above it can get very irritating...
Pros: Love the custom sounds with the cart.
Cons: Too small!!!! Just two points?
Improvements: Add another area. I was really disappointed to find that you only have two points and one area for this map. This map is extremely short as is.
Other than the length of the map - it looks pretty good.
Notes: Let me know when you release a new version of the map (with a new area) and I'll give it another try. What you've got now makes for a really good area 1.
Pros: Fun payload map
Cons: The second BLU spawn exit is hard to locate, hard to get to, and can be easily blocked. 2 Sentries completely pin down the last cap, although good teamply can cap it.
Improvements: Improve the spawn exits for BLU and make the last point an easier cap.
Pros: I gave you all 10s because you know more about what you are doing than I. Like the glass floor
Cons: Needs some signs to help the flow but I'm sure thats in the making.
Improvements: I think its a great idea to really open up the next to stages and maybe take them outside or something.
Notes: good stuff!
Pros: I realy like the style of the map as its unique for a payload map.
Cons: The map has only 1 short stage which quickly makes the map boring. You realy need to add some more stages.
Also, the map has alot of bugs. At first the console was flooded with:
Spawnpoint at (-920.00 656.00 224.00) is not clear.
Spawnpoint at (-872.00 656.00 224.00) is not clear.
Spawnpoint at (-760.00 616.00 224.00) is not clear.
Spawnpoint at (-904.00 616.00 224.00) is not clear.
Second the map is too dark making teamcolors nearly impossible to spot.
Another thing is that the map is close quarters making it a pyro and demoman fest. This is ok if its just a single stage in a multistage map but now its a bit killing the teamplay as other classes cant do alot in the map.
Improvements: Add more stages and make the later stages a bit more open. Also, add more light as the map is way to dark at many places.
Notes: Its a good start and im realy waiting for the next version.
This map has a unique style to it. It is also cool that it is indoors. The brushwork looks great, and very well detailed along with the rest of the map. The layout of this map is abnormal in a good way, because its defferent then others I usually see.

Try not to leave areas to wide open it gives snipers a great opportunity to kill people in different ways.
Would be cool to see an indoor and little outdoor of this map to get a little more familiar with the environment.
