======================= zm_idm_hauntedhouse_v1 Made by: [ZFC] idm Ideas: [ZFC] idm and [ZFC] rev ======================= -==READ EVERYTHING PLEASE==- IMPORTANT FOR ADMINS: Haunted House is a big map. If you want people to be able to download the map directly from your server, you must use this command: net_maxfilesize 22 Default 16mb. Haunted House is 21mb. Without this command changed to 22, people will not be able to download it and will get an error message like "Map zm_idm_hauntedhouse_v1.bsp missing". -->If your server BZIPs the map you're ok, but make sure you test it. ----------------------------- Map Information: Map Name: zm_idm_hauntedhouse_v1 Filesize: 21 mb Spawnpoints: 60 Special Features: many secrets, home made ambient Custom Textures Used: yes Custom Sounds Used: yes ----------------- INSTALLATION: ----------------- Copy the cstrike folder into your "".../steam/steamapps/username/counter-strike source/" folder. Click yes to all and you are done. IMPORTANT: the rar file contains a cfg file that will disable the default zombiemod ambient on this map. This map has his own ambient. If you like the ambient and you want to use it on your server, PM me. ---------------------------------------- A couple of features: * A lot of barricade spots, camp spots and hunting ground * Team play and ego play both possible ;) * Big rooms for team players, possible to build massive barricades * Well balanced spots, not impossible for zombies and not to easy * A lot of secrets! * Scary atmosphere! * 60 (!) spawn points for big servers * and much more ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: After a couple of tests I decided to make the doors breakable in stead of real doors. So pressing use wont open them, you can just break them by shooting them. I decided to do this because I saw in my own map and other maps that real doors bug barricades making it impossible for zombies to get in, or the doors will push away barricades so humans are screwed. Only the main door, main hall doors, the back door and the doors under the stairs are normal doors. There is one "secret" that is kind of important. In the kitchen there a two refrigerators. When you open the right one and step into it, you will be teleported to a fridge-room. In the fridge room you can exit be walking into the green light and you will be teleported back to the kitchen again. - This is a pretty big map, so take the time to discover all area's and secrets. - Some windows can break (tree-house for example). - There are secret ways into rooms (like double walls). - When you walk on the side-edge of the house you can boost each other onto the roof. (handy when humans barricade the stairs to the 3rd floor) - WHEN YOU THINK THE MAP IS TOO DARK, LOWER YOUR GAMMA. :P (although it will lower the atmosphere too ;) ) For other tips and tricks on this map PM me :) =========== Special Thanks: =========== * to [ZFC] Rev, for coming up with a lot of ideas on this map.     I'm wondering how long it took to make this map! i've worked on several maps but never got the time to realy finish them up...im always looking for ideas that are easy to make and don't take much time, although the gameplay must be awsome. guess there isn't a way to do this.. about your map: totally amazing, i love it, nice atmosphere, nice lighting it just ALL fits together, a shame though the file size is that big, but you can't help that.. keep up the good work mate :)

    Pros: - Nice lighting - Nice detailed! - Great fun - Nice design Cons: None Improvements: maby youy should use env_sprite to make your light look more realistic :) Notes: Very nice work, keep it up :)!

    Thank you for your assessment :) I will make a v2 in some time. Could you please give me some feedback about the teamplay and lighting? Because I spend a lot of time on the lighting ^^ And this map is supposed to be a team play map. I could use the feedback because maybe I can use it for version 2. Thanks you advance.

    Good zombie map, like the ones I remember playing a few years ago. Good map, it lags on the i3d servers tho im sorry to say, is fine on other servers. As admin on i3d i find it easy to play, no one gets stuck into each other at the spawn and so far no one has been out of the map.

    Change it to independent release then. I don't mind if you change the studio. Just don't link old releases to new studio! BTW: It's about the map release.
    lol, its not about the map, you talk about weather this map is a studio release from your studio or skael's. Give feedback on the map or PM me about this because these comments are for feedback and assessments. Thank you. Also, I build this map, I can do what I want with it. And it is now a release of skael's studio.
