Remake of the old 1.X map de\_vegas (original credits below). Stayed true to the original layout. Nearly all the old angles are still there. Changed a few secrets, and added a few more. Most changes to the map are purely visual.
Islamic extremists have targeted Sin City for their next strike against the American way of life. Hoping to further cripple the US economy, a string of attacks have been coordinated and executed in the fabulous city of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The intensity of the strikes increase as the CT's initial response teams quickly become overwhelmed, effectively turning Las Vegas into a war zone.
Your squad has been assigned to respond to an unidentified helicopter landing at the High Times Hotel & Casino, the sight of an earlier attack which claimed the lives of several of your fellow agents.
Homeland Security has identified the strike and confirmed that the terrorist have two probable objectives that they are likely to attempt to destroy.
Target A: As a moral statement, the terrorists have been detonating bombs at strip clubs across the city all night. It is suspected that the High Times Lounge will be the next club to be hit. The club is identifiable by the large Sphinx statue outside of its entrance.
Target B: The previous attack at this location was a failed effort to empty the casino's vault. It is probable that this second attack is an attempt to finish the job. Allowing the terrorists to escape the scene with the funds is unacceptable. Secure & hold the vault!
All the beta testers on the [DoP] High Times server for finding & putting up with all the terrible bugs & giving valuable feedback. [DoP] Vulgar for letting all that happen. The map is pretty good....many details and good design....the gameplay is also good when 32 players are in this map....no laggs...no down-going fps (at my computer btw...) . i wanted to play with the one-armed bandit and roulette....but it doesn't work....i like the shaft in the elevator......but i miss the secrets....where are the secrets? xD i mean i have found one secret: at t-spawn is an door behind a wall...but it is closed.....how can i open it? and what is behind it btw? xD
My god, you guys did such a good job, this map should be made an official community map by Valve. It's well done, the same vegas layout with better graphics. Its a pity that assessment is over otherwise I would rate it 10/10. Excellent work.

Good looking remake of an old classic. I really like the new props and custom stuff that you have added. Also I think you should have credit for all the buildings that you can see "outside" the map at e.g. T spawn that stretch quite a lot farther than usual. It adds to the feeling that it is vegas.
So far I have only noticed some smaller issues with the map and some have been addressed before:
-The cabinet/closet at the ghost room above CT spawn is non blocking so you can sit inside it.
- the curtains at Elvis.
Still the map is still great fun and you have pimped the original so it in my eyes is actually even better. Great job. 10/10. Bows in envy at you mapping skills.
