Final Update!

It was bound to happen, and meant to do it sooner. I've updated the map to the official Valve entities for KotH. Have fun everyone! Important!! The file has been optimized. All of the required files are zipped into the bsp, there is only one file to worry about . . . the BSP. Updated Once more!! 1) Added a skybox! Credit goes to Lost for his excellent skybox I found on FPSBanana 2) Due to some complaints about the hold timer being too short, and previously too long, I have increased the hold timer to 8 minutes. That should be long enough o allow everyone a fun time. I believe I also added rounds, so if this timer becomes a burden, let me know and I'll change it again. 3) I finally remembered the cubemaps! 4) Fixed several graphical errors from before. As always, enjoy, and spread the word. Also, I'm currently working on a new forest themed arena map. Expect it within the next couple months. In-Game Instructions pop-up: Twisted - version 3 King of the Hill Objective: Capture and defend "The Hill" from the enemy team. First team to hold "The Hill" for a total of eight minutes wins. Note: - The timer displayed in the HUD is for the team who currently holds "The Hill" - If the opposing team takes "The Hill" from your team, your timer will not reset but remain paused untill you recapture the hill. - The enemy only wins win their timer reaches zero.     i like the styling if it is a little bland. i dont know how feasile it is for ine team to hold onto the hill for 10 minutes, might be too long

    Before y'all find this comment derogative, your comments are appreciated and helpful, even though some of your cons conflict with other people pros. They are very helpful.

    And there goes my expert status, oh well, at least I'm the highest ranked in the "?" category. (lol)

    Yeah, since its a cell shaded map, it's detail lies in the brush work. Sue to the limits of the compiler, this is the best brush work I could do (quite literally, this map has the near maximum number of brushes the compiler can hold). I can go back and optimize the map by reducing the number of brushes in each turn, but that would provide me with little extra room for extras.

    Hey, at least one person though the small space was a pro and not a con (note: low players for this map)

    Still working on the other map. It's coming out well. All I have left on it is setting up The Hill Zone so each team can have fun and be fair (the hardest pert about making a TF map)

    Interresting Looks, but lacks detail and all round space.

    Pros: KOTH is great fun, really nice textures, very compact
    Notes: Great work, can't wait for another KOTH map.

    Sure thing, I've actually already started work on a new one. It uses a similar brush style to this one except it's based around curvy wall rather than floors that become walls.

    At the rate I'm going it'll be out in at most a week, if I can stay on track.

    The biggest problem with a KotH map, though, that is driving me crazy is there really isn't anyplace for a sniper. If I leave the Hill visible, good snipers make it impossible to capture, leave it covered and there's really no point in having a sniper. @_@.

    Ehh, I'll figure something out.

    I don't mind, as long as you don't rip the entire map.

    If you want the materials, search (in the material browser) "test/color" and you'll get some nice color shades.

    I'm thinking about do the request of one of the reviewers and going back and optimizing the layout some to allow for more architecture. But then again, I may just do a different design in a similar fashion, who knows what I'll do next.
