Great map. Skill compensates for large maps. I find it a challenge as do most folks that have any idea what they're doing. I'll be adding it to my rotation next week. Great work! As for folks saying it's a sniper fest.. limit your snipers to 1 per team on this map. Don't know how? Figures..
This map is an official HL2:CTF map that was decomped and tf2ed. The original mapmaker, Menthol, doesnt mind you doing what you did, but next time it would be nice if you asked the HL2:CTF team first when it comes to using one of their release maps. Its funny that some of you think it was made with CSS in mind. ctf_pedestal was a popular map in HL2:CTF so this map was the official pedestal style map.
Pros: Large Map, the CP version is good.
Cons: For Capture the flag, a little TOO large. Also , Not enough Tall cover (Its a Snipe-Fest In other words)
Improvements: Make the Rouned blocks taller so snipers can't see over them. Recommend making this a "FlagRun" map (that is, put one Flag in the middle and set it to "Any")
Notes: A nice second effort.
Then don't play it? It plays VERY well in TF2 on the cp_floodzone2_final version. this ctf version is not finished. Players very much enjoy this map on my server on the cp version, and so do i. It has great balance, and methods of entrance, and plays very smooth. It has all the elements a TF2 map should.
Author: when will this be updated based on the cp_ version? Simply copying the cp and turn it into ctf should be all needed right? :)
