A Map for Counter-Strike: Source

Hello and welcome to my best island level yet! It's very much like Battle Field 2, in that it has various areas on the map to take over and that it's nice and sunny. Choose your class at the beginning and take over the checkpoints. Get near the large metal pole in the enemy's base to win. Bots have great trouble on this map (In that it takes about 3 hours to generate the nav file and still doesn't seem to have an end). If somebody could generate the bot code I would be VERY greatful and you can have your name in the credits. It needs the correct server cfg to work, hopefully a massive 32 man server could host this some day, though I doubt something this radical would work on a large scale. There is a drivable vehicle, though it's very basic. Have fun climbing the massive mountain. It doesn't look big until you get to the top ;). A nice little bit of exercise for any explorers out there. If you like this map then say, I'll make more maps like that then eventually I'll have enough to make a mod for css. Thank you for reading, hopefully the map's fun ;) It is actually V0_5c, but I doubt I'll add any more to it.

    About the polygon count on the mountain, make a displacement under the island-displacement and simply drag it up =)

    I used a grass/sand texture and a sand/rock texture. I would post in your profile but others might want to know as well, meaning that they'll have to start exploring the whole of fpsbanana to find out.

    By standing next to the enemy pole, all of the opposing force on the map will DIE, resulting in a win. It won't do anything if you're running about the map on your own. Sorry.

    The smooth tool won't help in most cases because the polygon count isn't high enough. I tried as hard as I could to smooth it down, though it was a massive task for such a large island. (I'm making a larger one right now, not sure what will happen to it.) This map has now surpassed all of my others, put together. I didn't even know if I should have submitted this one because it doesn't play well with under 10 people. Still... thanks! I'm pleased that there's room for pointlessly large maps on CSS.
