This is my third map release. I just threw this together semi-randomly, like all of my maps. This one has sort of an "aztecish" feel to it, and should be good and even. This map has 32 player support, though i have not tried it with 32 bots, because my computer cant handle it, so I dont know if it will be too crowded.
This map is made for the Gun Game mod, but can really be used for straight Deathmatch aswell because i have included buyzones.
I have play tested it and it seemed to work fine, but if you have any issues, please let me know, so i can attempt to fix them.
Please provide *CONSTRUCTIVE* criticism.
Thanks for the input guys. I thought about adding some decals such as some ivy, and i actually did have rain at one point, but decided to remove it...perhaps i'll throw it back in there. As for a 3D skybox...The reason i didnt add one is because i figured no ones gonna be lookin at the skybox anyway...haha...Plus i always have trouble gettin my 3d skyboxes to work properly...I'll toy with it more...
This seems like a solid map for sure. Layout and style of the brushwork is interesting and rather unique I must say, not many use Aztec textures.
Could still use touch ups in certain areas.
some ideas that come to mind:
use multiple displacements to give a smoother feel to the ground and sew them together.
Overlays/decals perhaps to dirty up the map
func_illusionary ivy brushes,
Rain perhaps, slightly and not overbearing only in spaces where it would naturally fall from of course
Some sort of 3D skybox with mountains
just some quick things to think about,
other than that you do some good work, keep at it.
