  • BugFix Fixed an issue where Wiseau would either choke on trying to load, or just crash entirely. This was due to some issues trying to create a "sound.cache" for a compressed map. This should be fixed now!!

Worlds Collide - Electric Boogaloo!

This map is a derivation of "DM_Wiseau" - a map from the sourcemod Open Fortress! I implore you to play it, and check out the original!

That said, this map is a slight rework designed for TF2C. It is a Team Deathmatch map.




Hello! This mod is a bit out of my comfort zone - but I feel as if I've done enough work for the time being to it for something of release. So, here it is!

This is a somewhat-comprehensive rework of the popular Deathmatch map from Open Fortress - DM_Wiseau! If any credit is due - please give it to the Team, especially Mac11 & Iibohartz - the original founders of DM_Wiseau!

That said, this isn't Deathmatch. This is Team Deathmatch Wiseau, with a good number of alterations! Such as:
-Converted the map to 4-Team Deathmatch! Teams get points by getting kills. 125 kills to win!
-Added more spawn points for all teams (who still spawn randomly around the map, just like OF!)
-Revised a new Nav Mesh for TFBots! They... kind-of! Know how to use ladders!

-Fixed up many OF-only entities to work as closely as possible as they can in TF2C - such as the Music and the Overheal Pills
-For entities that were too difficult to port, swapped them out with simpler existing ones, such as Weapon Spawners
-Added some "NPCs" in inaccessable areas to liven up the map!

Simultaneously a lot, and not many changes. It's peculiar..!

Hopefully, this will be enjoyable to play - or at least look at! Despite having a sizable amount of experience with map-entities, this is my first proper map-edit that I've been able to rework to satisfaction. You could say I'm a bit of newbie to this - so let me know if any issues or problems arise!



One last note!

On a more serious topic - I will take this down if it's requested by anyone on the Open Fortress Team, or otherwise. Though I'd hesitate to say I'd do so gladly, should they have issue with this map port / rework, I'll go on and take this down! This was a for-fun, experimental project, after all...

I don't mean to end this train of thought on a bad note, though! If you install this, I hope you enjoy it a lot! Even though I put a lot of work into converting this over - please remember to give kudos to the Open Fortress team for bringing this awesome map to light to begin with!

Ported most of the assets over from OF & Live TF2, and re-tooled and re-worked a large amount of the map's entities to work in TF2C
