Battle Arena X

A Map for Half-Life 2

This is arena shooting type of map, where you figth waves of enemies and bosses.

Stepping on the Lambda logo, (one on the middle) will activate a wave.
During waves, random items will spawn on Lambda graffitis.
There are plenty of auto saves, but quick-saves are recommended.
Arena itself is very small, but takes for a while to beat. (45-65 min)

There are 11 waves and 5 bosses.

Changes in this map:

-Your base speed is slighty faster.
-Pistol and crowbar does slighty more damage.
-Some annoying enemies, such as Manhacks, Combine soldiers, and poison headcrabs have less health.
-You are able to carry more ammo with some weapons, such as .357 and crossbow.

Notes
I got this idea, after playing Serious Sam games. I started making this map somewhere in september 2018. Back then, i made the layout of the arena in Hammer, but i barely added any entities in it, because of my job (and laziness) and i forgot about the whole project. After 10 months, i finally started working on this project again, with greater passion.

I'm pretty happy with result, even though i got pretty lazy with the final boss and it's quite out of place anyway.

There are few issues here and there:
-Frame rate may drop if there's too many ragdolls stacking up. I tried to fix it, but it only works with some ragdolls. Those, who have semi-censored version of HL2, (like i do) doesn't have this problem, because in that version, corpses fade out after death.
-Bosses doesn't work properly in Garry's Mod.
-Hard mode is complete bs.
