This is the Dust map (no, not Dust2) from the original Xbox version ported to CS
1.6/Condition Zero. Due to it having exclusive features not found
in the PC version such as dynamic brightness & gamma, and sunlight effect on daylight environment, Xbox
maps look slightly darker in PC.
Interestingly while the BSP
file itself requires a WAD, the game tricked the engine (in this case it's still GoldSrc but heavily modified) thinking there's
one it needs by calling the "***.bsp.pas" file which redirects to an
xpr archive, where the actual textures needed for the map is there. Most
of the textures are the same as Condition Zero, but there are some Xbox
exclusives as well, most notably the skybox. I took the WAD from the
leaked CZ and replaced textures with the Xbox ones.
Bot's NAV is
included, a bit different from PC since it was probably created/edited
manually by Ritual so that it's more challenging than CZ (sorry Turtle
One of these days someone needs to make a MetaHook plugin that recreates the Xbox version's "HDR". I tried Chicken Fortress 2's renderer but the HDR seems odd with these Xbox maps (not as colorful, its more like a bloom effect)
Like those xbox map versions, they looks like Valve/Ritual put more precision to re-create them, or it's just me. Those maps looks better than finals in my opinion. And finally i know from where thumbnails of the maps came from in "Tour of Duty". Can't wait for the rest of the maps, if there's any.
