Auspices (Assault Variant) - Hostage Rescue

Take out the Terrorists without jeopardizing the hostages. Terrorists: Prevent Counter-Terrorist force from rescuing the hostages. Other Notes: There are 4 hostages in the mission. -------------------------------------------------------------- Hi there! I have made Auspices to fix balance issues and bot navigation problems that were present in the original Assault made by CryptR. You can play this map in CZ, CS 1.6 and older versions. Here is a list with the main differences between Auspices and Assault: -Outdoor area size was reduced so shotgun and smg users are a lot more effective than before. -Office was removed, hostages are distributed in three different spots inside the warehouse. -Added an additional entrance to the warehouse (based on css version of Assault) -Bot navigation was improved a lot, they are less likely to get stuck or fall to their death. Place files in Steam/steamapps/common/Half-Life/cstrike
1) Nice idea to remake cs_assault and I admit everything inside the T base is perfect, except for one thing you'll read below. **Pros**: 2) Good gameplay, the bots work nicely on the map, and the hostages are very nicely placed. 3) Rails are nice, and trains look good, too. Glad someone added these to an assault variant map! 4) This part is full of charges, but it makes this part very nicely playable. 5) The idea that came to completely remake the middle impressed me! You nailed this part! **Cons**: 1) You misplaced the door, it looks it's outside the wall. Here's a closer pic: It's confusing since there's no joint for the doors. 2) Try to add metallic bars that will join those metals. It will make them look even better. 3) Why did you make a blank place here ? 4) This ladder is passable, make it func_wall or add a func_ladder to climb up the bars, it'd be good, too. 5) There is a blank space, join those walls to each other. The background at the rear is bad. 6) The thing I din't like in the T base, this wood placed here. 7) Add a specific skybox for the map. It may break the look if I used a differet map then come to this one. ----------¤--------------¤---------- I think that's all I found on the map, improve better next time! I'll give this map a 9.1 for being good mapper for your first times :) Edit: You might also credit yourself as a creator in the credits, it's not really nice to see submissions where people don't credit themselves as creators.

I accidentally removed the "clip block" on the middle building in one of the last updates I did on this map. I have just realized of it. Now it is fixed.
