The iconic level from Donkey Kong Country Returns comes to Smash as a stage! This stage is over Kongo Jungle 64.
Originally a mod for Brawl/Project M, this stage has been brought to Smash 4 by a collaboration between Dr. HyperCake (myself) and Kuro (the original author of the Brawl/Project M mod). But this is not just a port; the stage has been remade for Smash 4 with new and improved assets, and the addition of a wifi-safe version.
There are two available downloads: Regular, and Wifi-Safe.
The regular features the original stage layout of the Brawl/Project M mod, with terrain that is a bit longer than an average stage, as well as two platforms. It also comes with its own unique omega, that matches the standard size of omega stages.
The wifi-safe is a version of the stage that maintains Kongo Jungle 64's collisions, but with the aesthetic overhaul of Sunset Shore. This also comes with altered camera behavior for the stage in order to better highlight the background. The camera behavior change is still wifi-safe, but if you'd like to have the original camera behavior of Kongo Jungle 64, simply do not install the modified '64Jungle_stprm.bin' files.
Both downloads of the stage include UI elements.
Also included as an extra download is the option of lighting that makes all fighters on the stage black silhouettes. This is not perfect, as some things such as shiny hair do persist, but it is quite functional.
To install the silhouette lighting, first install either the Regular or Wifi-Safe version of the stage, and then install the 'silhouette lighting' download on top of that.

We recommend the music Palm Tree Groove - the song that originally played on Sunset Shore in Donkey Kong Country Returns - for this stage.
i think the stage still has a problem in wifi connectivity because i was playing casually in for glory team smash and on 1v1 to see if the problem dragged into the other mode and it did in the third minute. So it kicks me out with an error connection when the third minute passes i think. (Omega wifi safe version)
maybe if you could include NNEBF's version of the silhouette lighting would be better as you can atleast see some shading on the character. Because with this one like if you do a ditto you wont know whos who right lol
Good job, this is a pretty looking stage. I was wondering if you could make a cool looking stage nameplate with a Donkey Kong font for the whole stage, for the normal and omega stages? I appreciate the hard work, thank you!
