    In the main screenshot, don't the purple-black squares look weird to you? They are generated by the game as placeholders for missing textures.
    They do, but here's kicker. If you are on low graphics it shows up like that. But if you turn up the graphics it's just fine. It's weird.
    That's really weird. If possible you will be better off putting such pics of the map that don't show these purple-black squares. They usually are used as a placeholder for missing texture references.

    This definitely looks like a unfinished map to me. You should have submitted this to the MiPs aka Maps in Progress section.

    Also MC105th is not wrong. Your map is using engine-generated lighting. It's the same brightness all over. The purple-black squares in the screenshots are indicative of missing textures as well.

    @MC105th : If you wish to rate something a 1, I'd love to see detailed feedback on why it should be one rather than "There is no skybox... no lights...".

    I'd expect that from a mapper who has been mapping for years. As a community, we should help out fellow artists and guide them to right direction.
    Thank you for the help, i didnt realise there was a MiP secton and i will use it in the future. I do apologise.

    The map does have a light though. It's int he roof and i made it light the whole map. as a whole.

    As for the skybox, i do not have the skybox texture but the people i worked on it with said the sky box looks fine and doesn't need fixing. So i'm not sure why the skybox is a issue. The skybox itself is set to the 2d skybox.

    I have been making maps since 2007, you have NO lights in this map, it is utilizing Sources default lighting. That it why it is bright as fuck and there is no shadows anywhere and looks like turd.

    The Hammer Editor doesnt supply the 2d skybox textures.

    But, i will be fixing the skybox today. I was working on this till late last night.
