Back from Super Smash Bros. Melee it's Princess Peach's Castle!
For version 3.0 I re-imported the whole stage through Smash Forge which preserved the vertex colors and has accurate proportions with the Brawl version. I also added animations to the castle flags, added more easter eggs in the background (some not even shown in the screenshots!), re-did the water animations, and touched up the lighting and collisions.
I used this version of the stage http://www.mediafire.com/download/vp50dbkbqkc0bsu/STGKART.pac from BrawlVault that had updated textures to better match the Mario series/Smash Wii U's art style as a base for the remastered version, but for this update I've added a lot of new features such as 3D trees, the power boxes from Super Mario 64, a Banzai Bill in the background, and more. I also made a version that stays accurate to how the stage appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee. New to version 3.0 is a third variant based on the prologues of Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario 3D World,
Unfortunately I was not able to get the platforms to move this time around. I tried about five different times but I was never able to get it to completely work. I will still try to figure it out and if I do I will implement it in a future update.
The breakdown of how this stage is organized in the download is:
*For-Glory safe If you want to use a non-omega version online with friends, everyone in the same battle should have the same stage installed in the same space (ie. every one has the Remastered version over 64Jungle).
If you want to port these stages over a different stage, every stage file I added has "DxCastle" in the name (ie. "stc_DxCastle_New" or "dyr_DxCastle_Star"). The only exception is the Galaxy versions use "stc_BG_set" (with a modified nut) and "dyr_sstar_set" from the vanilla Mario Galaxy stage. Be sure to include these in whatever stage you port to, however all other files are blank.
The omega versions scale perfectly to 8 Player due to using the default lvd. The non-omega versions mostly work-- the main castle collision scales fine but the two platforms disappear. Additionally, the remastered and Galaxy versions noticeably lag in 8 Player mode. While it is still playable, it is distracting.
Special thanks to Xuman for his Stage Select Screen Portrait used for every version of this stage except for the remastered ones (Kongo Jungle 64). Since I replaced the 'melee' and 'end' versions of Kongo Jungle 64, I just used the first image for its portrait.
Stage preview (thanks to amphetavin for recording!):
(there are a few minor aesthetic differences between how the stage appears in the video and in the screenshots-- the screenshots are the final version of the stage).
Can you please help me with porting Peach Castle Galaxy version over Peach Castle 64. I tried it 3 times already and my mods take way to long to download to keep this up.
Can somebody please help let me know which file goes where exactly because every time I keep doing something, something else goes wrong. The background becomes bright white and and I can't seem to the galaxy background. I'm trying to put this over peach castle 64 (Omega) but im having problems with the galaxy background showing up
Is it possible to fully port the omega Galaxy variant of the vanilla omega Galaxy stage? I've been trying for hours to try and get it to work and I can get it to load, but several of the normal background elements still appear.
