Hi everyone! My last update on CSG_Dust was withheld due to corrupted archive content. Now i trashed it myself because it was withheld for too long. The admin wasn't responding to my messages so i have to make a submission for this again.
GO ported models (domes, palmtress, etc.)
New hiding spots that doesn't exist in the GO version
Geometry is still based on original 1.6 map
T Spawns and CT Spawns are moved to a new location (for faster gameplay)
Mimicked Go Dust's animated smokes :)
Mimicked Helicopter Rescue
Here are some tips for better gaming experience on this map:
- If you've seen some textures look blurry, try raising the gl_max_size value to 512 or 768 (as i've seen some models that uses texture larger than 512 pixels) To make this work, bring down the console window then type 'gl_max_size 512' then restart. If it doesn't work, go to your cstrike directory and edit your autoexec.cfg file. If you don't have one, then create it and add gl_max_size 512 in the text field. Play again then you'll see the difference ;)
Try lowering the gamma value for better lighting. I suggest you alter this value to 1.8 then restart the game. Default value is 3
To improve fps rate, try altering the cl_corpsestay value to 0. Default is 600
DON'T Drop your items/weapons on some stairs area. Why? because you may never be able to retrieve your items there. It's because some stairs doesn't have an item collision. It's intended for clipnode budgetting.
