Set in an Arid area of the Badlands, Gray Mann and his robots catch wind of a lonely storage depot owned by Mann Co. and cannot resist the urge to blow it to bits. Your job is to stop them from doing so. Again.
Beta2 of The Dust includes eight mission files (normal, 2x intermediate, 3x advanced, 2x expert) and is comparable to any standard Mann Vs. Machine map, with the addition of two bombs on a timer each.
This map is a work in progress, but is currently in a playable state, and I appreciate any feedback.
- Added a third robot spawn point
- Changed the building in front of the bot spawns to allow passage through, an upgrade station, and access to high ground
- Widened the main path and added some cover
- Added more lighting to the main path tunnel
- Changed the middle building to be more open and contain a drop down to the lower tunnel
- Widened the lower tunnel and added slight height variation
- Replaced the shipping container near the middle of the map with a small sniper building and shortcut
- Replaced the pit near defender spawn with a large building to reduce sniper bot sightlines and give the defenders more cover
- Moved the defender spawn doors back
- Added arrows outside of defender spawn door to indicate the access to high ground
- Added a bit more detail around the map
- Changed the sun to better light up the map
- Changed the textures on most buildings to make them more thematic
