Description

Playable in both Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes.

You will probably recognise part of this map from the original HL2 singleplayer campaign. Since I liked the area enough for a multiplayer map, I decided to somewhat recreate it and put a little spin on it.

This is not the first map I have ever made, but it is the first map I have ever published. I actually made this map around 2006, and decided to get into mapping again, finish this map and release it here.

    @AlcyToronto Thank you for your feedback. I know it isn't that difficult and I think it didn't work because I do not remember putting a light_environment in my 3D skybox. I think that why it didn't render. Currently, I'm busy setting up a 10 player server dedicated to running my map. I'm configuring Botrix bots so that there's some fun to be had before others join. I will look into what you posted and I will make a few minor changes to my map as well. I also have to create waypoints.

    plan:

    - almost done tweaking Botrix bots
    - planning to create waypoints next
    - will post server ip
    - want to playtest with bots and people
    - then I'll make changes, add skybox detail, etc.

    Really a good job,  but surely a 3D skybox can improve the visual look. It's not so difficult, expecially in your map, playable only at ground floor, and even foggy.

    I've made a 3D sky for you, if you want to add it (sorry if I decompiled your work, was just to help you, and I need to know your 0 0 0 point to put the sky_camera). You have just to select all in my vmf, copy and paste special in the same position in your vmf. (Open the 2 vmf in the same Hammer session to can copy/paste special). Include the pasted elements in a new visgroup, so you can include/exclude it from compiling. Fell free, of course, to change the elements if you want, it was just as an example... Keep up the good work.

    Too bad... I didn't see the video, but when I created maps for Source, I used this tutorial. Maybe it's the same way, but you can try if you want, there's no reasons why it's not displayed

    Thanks. For some reason the 3D skybox didn't work. Whatever I put in there, it didn't render. Followed TopHattWaffle's 3D skybox instructions: https://youtu.be/40oIyq5IWPk In the end I left it out completely.
