Someone told me want to play normal maps with bonus from machine attacks map
and I created this map for those peoples

and I also use decoy's original popfiles to this map

    Whoever played this map will known that.
    I have, hence im capable of saying i dislike the gamemode. And its why after a previous review i didnt review other maps (as in the end it would result in too much negative votes). Thats why my rating does not involve that other than its entity work. Its pushing up the score in this case.

    But since its an edit of a map i do a strict check to see if the map does still live up to its feeling. Any edits you make should be in line with those.

    It should be in a way that people dont know it doesnt originaly belong in the map.
    And to me those changes were performed poorly, in a way i dont get the impression you havent even tried to fix that.

    First, considering its an edit of the map. certain features are not considered into the rating as valve made those. This means bad effects can have heavy results on the score.

    After playing alot of decoy and checking the way its built in hammer... its sad to see that there barely even has been taken any effort to get the graphics back to the state valve had it. That lighting is at the state of a fast compile.

    You dumped in a random building that doesnt even fit the theme. The roofs for example are completely flat and dont even have an actual roof. its just the same texture as a box with a door slammed into it.

    I find effort important when people make a map, but other than the entity work i cant realy see any effort into restoring the decoy feel. And i also represent this in the score. Decoy might have a solid base, but not even attempting to fix that base after destroying it is a bad thing.

    I have represented these thigns in the score.

    For design you get a 7, this represents the entity work you did put into, even though i do not like the mode itself (hence i excluded the gameplay related scores on this)

    For the looks and detail i however cant realy get anything positive to it other than that you at least didnt mess up by creating a leak or altering the already good brushwork.
    The additions however realy dont fit the map and made it worse. Hence for the looks a 1 (realy, at least try to match the style... just taking a wood texture isnt enough. at least take the effort for a sloped roof).

    Detail gains some score as you did take the effort for custom textures and trying to give your features a place in the map. They might have been performed better, since a 6 would be considered a pass for me, but sadly it doesnt reach that state for me yet. But a 5 is given as it does work.

    Also, when playing decoy i expect a certain feeling, but those edits realy are working against my nerves in how they look. I would have given that a 5... but:
    If you make screenshots, at least take the effort to make them look decent. There are a few boosts that can easily be applied for screenshots and 1 of them is anti aliasing. That it runs 5fps while making them shouldnt be a hazard at that time. To me that gave 2 penalty points. As this is something that realy should be a 'you see this map! go ahead and play!' advertisement. It doesnt do that.

    To me this edit feels more like an insult to the map. And for this i gave the overal score a 3.
