CSS DUST3 (Bomb/Defuse)
by Tatu Eugen - www.tatueugen.info This map is a remake from de_dust_pcg of CS: Source game, original map by Dave Johnston, map is recreated with all buildings, and some stuff from css. Any ideas and bugs please report at mail adress: contact@tatueugen.info Counter-Terrorists: Prevent Terrorists from bombing chemical weapon crates. Team members must defuse any bombs that threaten targeted areas. Terrorists: The Terrorist carrying the C4 must destroy one of the chemical weapon stashes.     The map is good, but does not look like the original dust maps ============================================================== I will explain the problems and their solutions that I noticed during the video, and hope you to update your map because it has potential to be one of the best ones. First of all: The lightmap grid =============================== - The grid defines how accurate the light will be. In your map it seems to be larger than 16 that makes the shadows blocky and even cut at some places. You'd better scale it down a bit where the shadows are. - Then the map looks flat. The solution is to add displacements. They will also improve realism. Details and Architecture ======================== - Really similar to the dust maps' architecture but something's missing. The problem is that it looks too empty and clean. For an outside area it should have some dirty places, graffiti, garbage, somewhere even a car, cables, chimneys and other detail typical this type of architecture. Ambience ======== - The map needs hdr. There is a great tutorial (from Valve Developer Community) for making proper hdr settings to prevent overbrighting. Also it needs func_smokevolume over the whole map to make visible dust as it's done in the original dust maps. You can change the 2d skybox texture, but it isn't problem, just if you want to be more similar to the orignal dust maps. Hope I helped you. EDIT: I didn't notice that it's for Goldsource... Looks great for cs 1.6 dude!

Notes
First when i see the de_dust_pcg i was thinking this can be the next dust3 for CS 1.6, so i started to develop the map from CS:S in CS 1.6, also i was very excited because map is original created by DaveJ, author of dust.
