Oh... I love snow maps, i think it was time to do something creative!
HDR should work well, i still have some things to fix but __b1__ is __fully playable__.
If you can, leave a __feedback__ so i can improve it.
In terms of a VSH map, this is pretty good. A healthy amount of healthpacks, plenty of space for various classes to move around and engineers to build on. Sort of reminds me of a more open farm_feud.
Only problem I see is that, like many vsh maps, it's very easy for Hale to jump straight to all of the players at the start and kill people before they do anything.
But that's something that I have been planning to code a fix for in the plugin itself. Something like, Hale is invulnerable frozen for 5-10 seconds at the start.
Edit: Going to be throwing this onto TF2Data's VSH:Data soon ;p
I think some sexy fog would come in good here. To really spice up the realism of the environment. Oh and, you could look at some valve made winter maps where there are random wind's accompanied by snow getting blown. Maybe some more cliff's ? I would love to see more of them. Just my suggestion's. Some might or might not agree with me.
High Dynamic Range is a technique used by photographers essentially (I've taken classes in this subject when I studied media and photography) to make the image more rich in contrast and depth to make the picture more like what the human eye produces through the use of various exposures and partially photo filters.
In the Source engine games there's some software that produces these HDR results in maps. I believe that's about right.
Regarding the map. It looks pretty solid if you ask me. I don't know much about Team Fortress 2 unfortunately but to me it looks quite interesting. Snow maps are not very common to see at least, so this map is very well done from that perspective and the overall design is stunning. I like the ice blocks covered with snow in the water of the map because it contributes to making it feel cold. Looks like a somewhat fun snow map in my opinion.
