A map remake from 007 NightfireTM Originally created in late 2009, the old skyrail was laggy, dysfunctional and in places, quite ugly in places. Since then my mapping skills have vastly improved and after promising another version in the old description and seeing TopHATTwaffle's new CTF prefab I saw it fit to set about making the new version. This new version has much higher FPS, better lighting, skybox, texturing, displacements and a far improved CTF tool built in, instead of having to be downloaded. The original map (That's the very first version my old one was based on) came from the console version of 007 NightfireTM which coincidently was given to me by my beta tester, PowPew :). If you haven't already played Nightfire, I highly recommend you do, it's great little vintage gem that plays rather well. This remake does differ a bit from the original, but the principals and design are practically the same. ___________________________________ NOTE:
If your are unable to cap the flag your own, try dropping the flag and picking it up again, usually works for me :).

    Pros: I love this map! Cons: I've got missing material in the fifth screenshot. Also there is no minimap, and it is still a little bit laggy on my PC. Improvement: Plz fix these problems cause i really love your map!!

    @mat.duf What Matina said about the chat. RIGHT THEN. The lighting reasons: The carriages. These had to placed at 90 degree angles in hammer to prevent them from travelling around the map sideways therefore, when vrad was running, it simply saw the carriage in it's original state, with part of it in a block. It also stayed like this becuase func_tanktrains don't have dynamic lighting. Displacements If you decomp this map you'll see that I was quite lazy with displacements so some parts are stretched and other stick out from others. the black parts of the displacements are down to nodraw blocks (used as level boundaries and to stop leaks) that happen to stick slightly through the displacements a bit. The roof stuff + other little holes Hmm, I didn't notice some of that stuff until you pointed it out. If I chose to release another version (probably not) then I'll fix these :). The other stuff You can't use the other teams weapons to dis-encourage spawn camping on respawn servers (which is what the map is recommended for) by picking up never ending weapons. You can only hear the snow footsteps sound on the roof because the main ground texture is a blend between snow and concrete and the material type for the texture is set to concrete, so you won't here the snow footsteps you'll hear concrete instead. I used to have grenade turrets on the old version but I decided to cut them out for this version becuase... I could :P. AND FINALLY. The garage wasn't used for anything because the T castle doesn't have anything like it in it's respective place, making the garage useful and beneficial to one team would upset the balance :l. Thanks for the comment though :).

    allright then its just for fun. btw i just tought the video was cs 1.6:D it looked so old or is it the real game from gamecube because i played it a long time ago and i dont have it anymore, i playd alot james bond maps.. i remember one map with helikopter and where yu can walk on the roofs.. also an indoor map.. but i always loved that rocketlauncher:D anyway, i will decompile and see how i can make it zombie:D thx and, gl on the next map's! seeya

    I don't know where you got that from xD. The original map is from 007 NIGHTFIRE (Seriously, how did you get 1.6 from anywhere? :P) But ye, fell free to decompile and make that zombie map, just map sure to credit me :). On a side note. I'll be releasing all the .vmf's for all of my maps from 2010 in a few weeks in a map pack :).
