My third version of piratewars I made. Use cannons to sink the other teams boat, or to kill them by hitting them with cannonballs which do 50 damage, or knife them to death. The screenshot shows the maps changelist which includes: New Visual effects-high resolution textures i made- 3d skybox- Lighting for the map, cannonballs deal 50 player damage, small broken boat with grenades in center, Smaller boats take 2 hits to kill and drive faster, new cannon sounds, Boarding plank from boat to boat. Tell me what you think.

Um No I don't give permission to tamper with it as someone has already done recently. I talked to SolidSnake original piratewars mapper on collaborating with me to make a new piratewars for 2012 but don't know if we will ever do it, but for now just live with the plank. The plank is what allows more than 30+ players because you run out of cannons for each person but the plank gives the rest some way to attack, so it actually helps game-play a lot even if you don't believe it. If it bugs you so much learn to cannon the people crossing it every round really easy to do.
This map is awesome!!! keep it up! after the css update i was really upset that the map quit working. I have lan parties every friday night and this is one of our all time fav maps.
I would love to see more maps with cannons that can destroy bases.
I understand your points sodan but its a trade off and the winner is the trigger pressing e makes it harder to get off especially if the server has a lot of players makes it way harder and pressing e on the boats makes the boats glitch out more as seen in hellz multigame so the triggers are the better of the two. Players just have to learn how the trigger cannons work, its not that hard to figure out. (and yes I've tested and tried both to make my decision long ago.)
OK if u think, but when it is with trigger all players jump around like mad + While against them is someone with a knife and they captured the gun, the are not very happy. With E all players just go near cannon, press E on it and they can controll it, second pressing E anywhere (even though they are behind the gun) will clear controlling without problems
naw pressing e to cannons makes it much worse I've tested both with a trigger instead of pressing e, you just move away from the cannons or press e to get off, when its by pressing e you get stuck a lot more and cant get off as easy. (there are tutorials, but if need be just use the boat prefab and open the vmf and study it and then it will be easy to understand.)
I created some time ago for battleforce servers private fix of 2009 version and I must say that gameplay is more better when u can grab cannonz only by USE (press e) them and not grab them by touch. Also i added small ladder to small ships so it make easier to board. Try to think about this changes for the next version, it will be better :)
