But I really tried my best to optimize it!
It was my first attempt in optimizing a map, but I really couldn't do more...
Please feel free to give me some advice on how and where to place hints and areaportals...
NOTE this review is only based on a look at the map I made on a LAN server with 0 players
Props: Interesting idea, it hasnt been seen before. I like that you arent afraid of breaking down the normal themes of tf2 like small mining towns and big farming/industrial areas. The game play seams quite fun, but I havent played it with real people yet. You have done some nice work on the tall houses you have made by yourself
Cons: you SERIUSLY need to optimize this map more. I looked at it in wireframe and everything was visible. My opinion is that when you map for tf2 you should mostly use tf2 models. You used a lot from HL2. You need to make the last area more interesting maybe with some more details or making the water deadly to swim in ;).
And a last thing the map is a little blocky at some spaces (it needs a little more detail).
Conclusion: I dont know how much this has to do with Stalingrad, Im neither Russian or very interested in the World War 2. Anyway I think it stands out because of its style, and with some optimizing and editing it could be a winner :)
