I started create map just from one room and pool in front of its windows, that's what I remembered from my dream...and quite nice resort came from this after few weeks :)
Final map is pretty quick, rather suitable for deathmatch or gungame. Could be good for few players, because I put one hostage in map, who spawn on 5 different spots in map, so you'll spend some time with look for him.
Known bugs are:
Sometimes stupid water reflexion (i set up cheapwaterstartdistance 10 and cheapwaterenddistance 10000)
Low FPS near rail behind pool, when you look to the house
Any reminds about improvement and changes are welcome
dude one of the best maps but please update it becasue something is wrong dont know or the skybox or sky.when im watching at the sunset(or its a sunrise lol) its mix the ground with the sea hope you understood the problme and fix it please
Pros: awesome idea to combine both worlds.. epic
Cons: maybe bigger corroidors. and less wood inside the house..
Improvements: hard to rescue the hostages, maybe better a fy_ map..

OK, dude, the exterior is very well done, but please make the indoor space more realistic (without alien technologies) and your map will the best!
It doesn't too matter on realistic look at this point...(idea came from my dream, anything in map would seem unrealistic)...it is just props around, better than nothing.
Many good maps aren't also too realistic.
BTW...I am staring with props modeling in XSI and 3DS, so maybe my next map pieces will be more original :)
Just read your description after reading the map, at first i thought having only one hostage was a bad idea but having it on a random spawner in 5 different locations should work well, about the water i am pretty sure this is a bug with source, u could also try putting most of the water into a 3dskybox and putting a cubemap in there pointing just at that one surface, dont know if that would look good or not, my fps were good and i couldnt get it to drop under 150fps, the interior layout was a little confused but was helped alot by the well made radar, only crit is make the water texture a much larger scale it will look a hell of alot better, also consider extending the playable area outside and turn it into more like cs_estate
